08-27-2020 Update

Hi. Some updates for the end of August.

Health

On Tuesday, 08-18, I was released from using a walking boot to now walk in a shoe after 10 weeks of not doing so. I continue with home therapy, and 3 times per week at the therapy clinic. Getting back into walking on smooth, flat surfaces, then hiking later. It is interesting to see how my foot and leg feel after not being used for so long. This stresses the importance of “keeping moving”!

Here are pictures showing the progression from right after surgery to now:

06-03-2020: The afternoon after morning surgery. My leg in a brace and mummy wrap!
06-29-2020: Moved into a “walking” boot
08-18-2020: My left foot in a shoe for the first time in 10 weeks!

New Movie – Epcot at Night

This past week, I published a new movie on my YouTube channel (Ken Brenner). Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgMbobWszGQ This shows my favorite Disney park, Epcot, at sunset and night time. Not only will you see sunset and night views of the attractions, I share three “shows”:

Fountain of Nations This beautiful fountain was located in the middle of the Future World section of Epcot (sadly, removed as a part of the ongoing renovation). At night, there was a nice show at the fountain, with different fountain designs, accompanied by lights and music.

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth This fireworks show at Epcot was shown nightly (weather permitting) from October 1, 1999 to September 30, 2019. It featured a really nice soundtrack (you can hear it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlJuGva4Xo4). I never got tired of watching and listening to this wonderful fireworks show, and it remains my favorite.

Epcot Forever This fireworks show at Epcot replaced Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, on October 1, 2019. It includes some new features, not seen in the previous fireworks show.

Hope you enjoy this relaxing night time view of Epcot at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida.
