April, 2021 Spring Meeting at Bethany Church

Hi! Hope this finds you and your family doing well, and enjoying the peaceful and comforting grace of our Lord.

On the third weekend of April (April 16, 17, 18), our home church Bethany Primitive Baptist Church (Elder Silas Ford, Pastor) hosted its annual Spring meeting.

The invited ministers were Elder David Montgomery, pastor of Lavernia Primitive Baptist Church in Lavernia, Texas, and Elder Chris McCool, pastor of Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Gordo, Alabama.

Bethany Church is located at 5101 Old Atlanta Road, Suwanee, GA 30024

Each service was preceded by a song service, led by song leaders, and sung by the congregation “a Capella” (without musical instruments).

Friday Evening, 04-16-2021

Eld. David Montgomery preached from Ezekiel 37 on “God Knows”.

– God is with us, whether on the mountain top, or in the dry valley.

We’ve been friends with Bro. David for many years, and are thankful for his love and fellowship!

Elder Chris McCool preached from Proverbs 20 on “A Faithful Man”

Saturday Morning

Eld. Marty Smith, pastor of Union Primitive Baptist Church, Roswell, GA opened services with comments and prayer.

Eld. David Montgomery preached from Ezekiel 4 concerning “Times of Trouble and Sorrow”.

– God’s people often face trouble and sorrow due to their “iniquity”.
– Jesus faced trouble and sorrow so we wouldn’t have to (eternally).

Eld. Chris McCool preached from Ruth 3 on “Ruth and Boaz”.

– We come to church because we need God’s blessings
– Ruth needs Boaz protection and help as we need God’s protection and His church
