Views of Early Spring – Appalachian Trail in North Georgia

Hi. Hoping you are doing well and enjoying the peaceful blessings of the Lord.

In April, 2021, I went on two day hikes on the Appalachian Trail (AT) in north Georgia.
The goal was to enjoy the beauty of the Lord’s Creation, and continue my conditioning for future AT hikes.

April 6, 2014 – Appalachian Trail (AT), North from Woody Gap

I’ve always enjoyed hiking with Elder Dan Hall (pastor of Forsyth Primitive Baptist Church near Cumming, GA). And we had a very blessed hike and fellowship in the Creation.

The Spring wildflowers were starting to come out
The trees were still bare enough to offer “winter” views
A great day, walking in the Creation with Bro. Dan!

April 15, 2014 – Appalachian Trail (AT), North from Hogpen Gap

This was a 14-mile conditioning hike on one of my favorite sections of the AT in Georgia.

The day started out damp and cold
My raincoat served as a windbreaker at first, until the weather warmed up
Purple flowers were blooming next to the trail
Yellow ones too!
Water was plentiful along this section of the trail – Praise God!

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
Psalm 121:1

God Bless!!!
