Christmas Lights in Laurel – Mason Park and 5th/6th Avenues

Hi. Hope all are having a fun and blessed holiday time!
Over the years when we’d come to Laurel to see Sandra’s parents for Christmas, we’d most always go out one night to see the Christmas lights at Mason Park in Laurel, Mississippi. And now that we live in the Laurel-Hattiesburg area we can see them more often.

On Thursday night, 12-23-2021, I drove up to Laurel and Mason Park to photograph the decorations that had been put up this year.
Here are some pictures taken that evening in the park.

Note the number of sponsors and volunteer groups,
Thanks to All! 🙂
Santa’s Workshop! Looks like the Elves are busy.
Candy Canes and lights line the sidewalk going through the middle of the park
Also enjoyed seeing so many decorations in the trees
A traditional question – What’s your answer??
An alligator pulling Santa’s sleigh?!
I believe a Florida fan must have put this one up…
At one of the entrances to the park
“Angels we have heard on high…”
7th Avenue can be seen on the left
A fun evening at Mason Park!

On the drive home, saw some of the decorations on 5th and 6th Avenues

Liked the architectural style of this home
Looking south on 6th Avenue, note the Christmas trees in each front yard! Very nice…
Front-yard trees on 5th Avenue as well!
Locations for Mason Park, as well as 5th and 6th Avenues

Was a fun and blessed evening, look forward to doing so again next Christmas!

God Bless, and Merry Christmas!!
