Providence Primitive Baptist Church – 2022 June Meeting

Hi! Hope this finds you and your family doing well, and enjoying the peaceful and comforting grace of our Lord.

On Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday 06-03/05-2022, Providence Primitive Baptist Church – Elder Mark Quarles Pastor, hosted its 2022 June meeting.
Elder Tom Griffin was the invited minister.
Due to Covid, this was the first meeting hosted by Providence Church in over 2 years.
We were very excited and thankful for the opportunity to do so again! πŸ™‚ πŸ™

Each service was preceded by a song service, led by song leaders, and sung by the congregation β€œa Capella” (without musical instruments).

Friday Evening,06-03-2022

A fellowship supper was held in the dining room, followed by evening services.

Eld. Tom Griffin preached from Ephesians 6:2-3 on “Long upon the Land (Earth)”.

– Honor our father and mother and we will live long on the earth
– Honor God and we will be blessed in the Land
– The Lord led Israel out of Egypt (sin) and provided for them (including going into the promised Land)

Saturday Morning, 06-04-2022

Saturday Evening

Many gathered at the Duckworth’s home for a great time of fellowship, supper, and singing.
We very much appreciate their wonderful hospitality.
It is ALWAYS good to be with the Church Family!

Sunday Morning, 06-05-2022

Eld.Tom Griffin preached from Luke 22 on “Sacrifice”

From this message:
– Jesus died for the sins of God’s people, there was NO other way
– God provided a sacrifice for our sins (Jesus His Son), just as he did for Abraham and Isaac on Mt. Moriah
– Mt. Moriah was the same place where Jesus was crucified (where both sacrifices were made)!

Personal Notes:
We were all excited to having annual meetings return.
So many in the church participated and by God’s Grace, made this meeting the success it was.
It was also a blessing to see so many young people attend and participate.
