Bethel Primitive Baptist Church – 2023 Spring Meeting

Hi! Hope this finds you and your family doing well, and enjoying the peaceful and comforting Grace of our Lord.

Bethel Primitive Baptist Church – Elder Ronald Lawrence Pastor, hosted its 2023 Spring meeting. The meeting started Friday evening, 03-24-2023, and ended after lunch on Sunday, 03-26-2023.

The invited ministers were Elder Danny Wisner, pastor of Irwinville Primitive Baptist Church in Irwinville, Georgia, and Elder Tim McCool, pastor of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church located near Gordo, Alabama

Each service was preceded by a song service, led by song leaders, and sung by the congregation “a Capella” (without musical instruments).

Friday Evening,03-24-2023

Evening preaching services were preceded by supper in the dining room, and a song service

Eld. Danny Wisner preached from 1 Timothy 3:16 on “Trust in the Lord and His Word”.

Saturday Morning, 03-25-2023

Following the song service, Eld. Tim McCool preached from 1 Peter 2:23 on “Commitment”

Eld. Danny Wisner preached from Hebrews 13:9 on “Established in Grace”

– God’s Word should inspire us to follow Jesus and live accordingly
– Be established in the Grace of God:
1. Give ALL glory to God
2. Understand we are saved by Grace
3. Be committed to Jesus
– Seek comfort in God and NOT the world (AMEN!)
– For by Grace are we saved…
– Let all your thoughts be in Grace

Following morning services,, a fellowship lunch was served in the dining room.
On Saturday afternoon, the church met at a nearby park for a time of fellowship.

We drove home, but later watched the Sunday morning services via a video on the Bethel Church web site. These services are outlined below.

Sunday Morning, 03-26-2023

Elder Danny Wisner preached from Hebrews 13:9 on “Being Established in Grace”.

– Be established in Grace, not strange doctrines of the world
– Salvation by Grace gives glory to God
– Any goodness we have is by the Grace of God
– We don’t deserve God’sLove and Grace
– Show Grace to others, as God shows Grace to US!!!
– We are saved by God only – not by our works

Elder Tim McCool preached from Proverbs 16:3 on “Bible Commitment Challenge”

Personal Notes:

It was a great blessing for us to again be at Bethel Church (last time was May, 2021).
We received the same loving welcome and fellowship as in past visits.
As always, Bethel Church did a great job in hosting this meeting.

We thank God for the good preaching and loving fellowship.
